iTunes 11

Apple is set to release iTunes 11 tomorrow, October 30th. The much loved/hated media player is to get a massive overhaul with a new streamlined interface and more hooks into the iTunes store. This news comes via someone at some place, somewhere (in other words, someone at Apple,) and barring any last minutes issues, we should have it in our hands sometime during the day.

Looking forward to this since iTunes has badly needed a major update for years.

So, check it out tomorrow once it’s out and enjoy!

*Update: Today was meant to see the release of iTunes 11, but at the last minute we’ve received word that it has been delayed until November, this according to AllThingsD.

“The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right,” said spokesman Tom Neumayr. “We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.”

Some of the rumours floating around as to why it’s been delayed involve the overhaul of some key Apple figures yesterday, but that’s pretty much just hearsay.

So, November it is! If I hear of another date, I’ll post it up.

    Liar.

    • dynablonde

Why, thank you for that awesome remark!

… and you source is… oh I forgot, some people would do anything for clicks I suppose…

        • dynablonde

Yeah, because I really need the clicks to an entertainment site which occasionally posts random news on Apple stuff.

          • dynaBROWN

This whole article, including your responses, is rudimentary. A quote from someone credible at Apple would validate this article but simply saying someone said ‘Yup!’ at Apple is both inconceivable and unrealistic. Come to think of it, why have I wasted my time writing on this amateur blog?

          • dynablonde

Why come here? I mean, the title says it all. Why even visit to just respond like that? Were you expecting something more? Here, I added this to the main article, in case you’re not familiar with this site: It seems we have a couple of new visitors here who have their panties in a bunch over this story. We’re not MacWorld which posts a whole article titled “A review of iTunes 11″ when the application isn’t even released, nor did they have a copy to review. We’re not MacRumors or AppleInsider whose whole basis for existing seems to be rumors plucked from the ether. We’re an entertainment site that occasionally talks about tech, and mostly in a not-too-serious way. ALso, iTunes 11 is scheduled for release this October, according to Apple, and there are only two days left to this lovely month ;)

          • dynablonde

If you don’t like a “rudimentary” response, then I really hope you don’t listen to some Apple folks like that Jim Dalrymple, or whatever his name is. If you do, then you’ll understand the “yup” comment ‘)

          • dynablonde

Man, why am I replying to trolls. Ok, pop over to an actual Apple rumor, or fanboy site and tell me when they mention an Apple reps. name after they post an article on some future Apple product or rumor. Cheers, I’ll wait.

          • faraday

What were you expecting? A fucking 10 page review of an application not even released yet? Are you mental? It’s better than half the fluff articles on mac sites which whine about nothing before getting to the point then just rambling about other shit. This article was pretty much straight to the point. itunes is out tomorrow, so what? want your balls tickled while reading it?

          • dynablonde

Lol, well that would be classed as an extreme review :P

          • D. Costello

Buahahahaha. it’s rudimentary becuase it’s a side article on a site which posts long stories for science fiction and films! It’s also slightly mocking the whole rumour thing, which Apple fans just love to soak up. If you actually read this cool site, you’d realise that, instead of that rambling nonsensen you just wrote.

Keep up the good work, tokyo!!!

        • dynablonde

Oh, yeah, my source… How about a simple “Yup!” when a asking Apple. Easy, hey?

        • D. Costello

Like the blonde said, who the hell posts a source at Apple over a rumour on a future product? You musn’t be familiar with Apple rumours.

    • D. Costello

      away back to daring fireball.

  • Faraday

Thanks for the notice. I dont know what the other peoples problems are. Ignore the idiots and more reversion posts! iTunes sucks balls, btw.
