John Carter is now available on Blu-Ray. Just prior to its release, Disney dribbled out a few pieces from the extras disc, which includes the original opening sequence from the movie. The short sequence was cut from the final version of the movie at the request of Disney.
The opening sequence in the official version of the film had a hard time in explaining the rather complicated history of Barsoom. This new extra footage tries to make it a tad more understandable.
If you missed the movie whilst it was in the cinemas, check it out because it wasn’t that terrible a movie. Bad press and lots of negativity coming from certain places seems to have killed its prospects at the box office.
